It had been some time since the Tower had taken a fatal blow. It seemed the league was falling apart; at least she seemed to have drifted from them. She would show up when trouble rang out but other than that, Erin had fallen away from the team, she had f. Even though she was a welcome member and a friend, there was always pushing her away from people. She always felt like an outcast and had a fitting in problem, most of it was paranoid thinking.
Sure she could take hold of the issue at hand and help keep the planet safe, but when the work was done, it was the daily life thing that got to her. Often she didn’t know how to interact; she forgot what it was like to be a person and retraining herself wasn’t working anymore.
She still had demons inside and she couldn’t always be there when she was supposing to and that guilt hurt. She didn’t want to turn her back; she would be there when they needed her. But as for now, Erin needed the space, she needed healing time. But was it what she really needed, could she go on alright alone? She needed to clear her head and it was hard to do, the weather was cold and harsh and it brought back all those memories, things she wanted to forget forever, but which would never stop haunting her.
The top story was all hers and the balcony and roof was just perfect for swinging around to or creeping up; hidden away from view of the rest of the city. She had gotten an apartment and it was near a college and a park, a nice quiet area. It was just right for her, a few bedrooms, two of which she converted to a study and exercise room. A couple big walk in closets, (you can’t have too much room for super hero stuff), a big bathroom with a nice tub (that didn’t have a dent from Black Adams head in it) and a kitchen, living room, and a den.
Erin was standing on the top of the roof in her black robe, sipping a hot cup of tea and her cell in her pocket, the sun had just gone down and anything could happen as the night grew darker.
