His breath pushed the smoke out, which curled in the dark air. His helmet was off, yet it didn’t matter, only he could see past the matter that did not let light in. Playing the puppet for weeks, Terry Elise was now home and recovered from his injuries, though the cancer still haunted him and he refused help, he was given no more than a year or two to live, that was if things didn’t get worse or he didn’t magically recover. He was finally figured out, thanks to reports from the news his neighbors claimed him. No charges where brought, he was as innocent as it seemed even if the family was now suffering from a rare diseases.
The media had thinned out and he slowly went on with his life and his other darker life. He spent several weeks building himself and his stock of deadly thing back up in the graveyard. Vengeance echoed in his mind and he knew Flameshadow had her eyes open. His voice was harsher and he still smoked nearly nonstop though the day. Today was a day he had been plotting for a while now, it was too quiet and all had forgotten Black Death.
Part of his plan was already done, innocent blood had been spilled this day. He had been here before were he fought against a Batman. This time he left no one alive on the long stretch of train and its many stops. No one would have though a villain would attack the same way twice, it was not for sport like others who killed. This was an easy way of killing hundreds of people who could not run. It was a merciless slaughter. It was an awakening, an extermination, one which would grab the attention of the city, the heroes and Flameshadow. When the train finally stopped the scene was horrifying as most of the victims were crushed by a force or had an array of cause of death. One man was left alive when the train took its final stop. He could barely move and he could not speak. But carved across his chest was the name Flameshadow and across his back was a scene of a landscape and a landmark. That was where he would be waiting.
A wall of dark flowing mist blocked the two ends of the south Gotham Bridge. People were scared, panicing and standing on the bridge or in their cars hiding. Anyone who tried to drive out didn’t make it to the other side, they were lost; stuck in the darkness force until it diminished. No one on the bridge had died yet but there was a bare spot in the middle of the bridge where he had pushed the cars away, here he wished for Flameshadow to land. Black Death had made himself comfortable hiding in the pitch darkness chain smoking, soon Flameshadow would come to his call and soon his plan would take its next turn.

The heroine was searching for the man who would known as Black Death after giving the information JLA .That she has found out so far she wasn't that much of detective but she had long decided to investigate this guys movements. The man she had been following around went silent for while but that did not stop her that. The days have been very long for her and she worked hard to ignore the news reports about her committing murders.
She flew thought the sky looking around listening to the local news reports. When she heard the report about the what was happening at the bridge her eyes got serious and then gets her communicator to inform her teammates " Flameshadow to Watchtower I am going to the simulation at the bridge I believe Black death may have something to do with it I am going in "she quickly made her way towards after saying this. She hovered over the panicked people and spotted him. She then glared towards him and then yelled " Black Death ! I will not allow you harm anyone again you will pay for all the deaths you cause " She glared knowing that fighting him alone is not a good idea and sends at stream of flames at him from her board.

In the moments he waited for her, all was silent until she arrived above him and the wind howled. A wisp of shadowy coils waved across the road and a figure appeared from within it. The darkness force swirled around the area and took on shapes of gasping and horrible looking sculls. He stood in the swelling darkness watching her as his hand slowly rose up towards her and clenched, pulling back. His harsh ghoulish voice spoke through the device he used, covering his own cryptic tone.
“And though we meet again, my valiant and fervid adversary.” He spoke with a vengeful tone, pulling his shadowy hand back and then took an unexpected and slow bowing motion towards her and deep red rose petals swept across the pavement.
“ It seems your presents once again is to grace me. That not even Death can take you from this world. A misconception? Wrong to assume such a force could be swayed so? Perhaps. Yet I have heard the whispers of Fate herself. Ay, a greater purpose you hold.” He said and drew up a weapon from the dark. A scythe made from steel and bone which was stained in blood of the people he had slain only a short time ago.
“But I of all would protest this knowledge as much as you would. So, let us test the waters once more and see if you are what I am told.” He spoke and suddenly the darkness wrapped around a van, picking it up off the road. Inside were screaming people, a family of five. They could not get out and the van hovered over the cold river below. The darkness diminished from around the vehicle and it slipped downward.
“Between the hands of darkness is there a glimmer of salvation?”

The heroine was angry at this man as her body flared with flames . She flew down towards Black Death and flipped her hover-board and puts it away and then looked him straight into the eyes " Death !! .as I told you when we encountered each other I don't fear death and that stands even now" She had plans later to meet her friends later but this has to wait she must stop Black death first. Then looked towards van and tries to rush over" NOOO!! " She looked towards van and suddenly drives into the water to order to save them from their fate . She didn't care if it made her powers work improperly because those people lives were more important to her then fighting Black Death drew her sword and started to smash at the glass with her sword
( decide what happens)

Bursts of flames bursted apart the black clouds but were quickly swallowed by the growing darkness which swelled around the bridge. The van plummeted into the icy water below and for a moment was not seen. Popping up from the water the van was only submerged until it started to fill with water as the panicked family inside tried to get out. Shadow traveling; swirling up to the top of a tower and sprawled his darkness along the suspensions, he watched with anticipation below.
His rival barrowed into the water without a second thought and she attempted to save them. The water rushed in as the windows were broken. In this moment he had control of the situation and those around him. He could kill everyone on the bridge if he wished; he could toss car after car into the river for her to swim after if he wished. But he wasn’t here to do that, he had plans of taking Flameshadow out for good. Kill her, not quite. All along she was standing in his way and he tried to remove her from it, but he understood now that something more drastic was to be done. If she would not be moved, then she would fall before him and he would treed upon her, seizing up all he could out of her very being.
He watched silently as the people were saved and did not take any farther actions against the people on the bridge. He took up his hands in a slow clap as he rose above the bridge into the air.
“Splendid. You never seize to amaze me with your stubbornness, my dear. And now, where were we? Ay, yes. Boldly you stood before me moments ago, your rage burned like a thousand firestorms as you answered the challenged of The Black Death. Ay, a spark of fearlessness in your eyes as you announced your bravery towards what is your imperative doom. Did you not?" Then the darkness swirled behind him and started forming into shadows, then figures, the people she could recognize as herself, black death and venom. A shadow play began as he spoke. As he would go on, the event quickly played out and the figure of Venom rose from the darkness burst apart.
"And now you have come with a vengeful hand, for the soul I took from you? Yes, I remember the very moment, a flash of light and we were both gone. Dragged down, But where your friend now rots in hell, I have re-spawned, ready to finish my task. But you still live and stand in my way. And now, you have come to tear me asunder for my crimes? Then come, and take what is yours!”

Jamie got out of the water after saving people she climbed out of the wonder and looked towards the scene unfold in front of her eyes. The just stared towards with her eyes widen because she remembered as her worst day of her life and kind of grits her teeth. She looked towards Black Death with her furious look in her eyes as she listened towards his words about the fate of one of her good friends.
The lack of honor in his voice was sickening her to very core how dare you talk about him that way I will make you pay for what you have done what Black Death is sorta of true but it wasn't the compete truth she wanted to bring this man justice not just for Nathan but for everyone that he murdered. She then drew her blade towards him even though her powers are weak she sends a weak stream of flames though her sword and rushed at him swing it so it would go across his shoulder to injure him either that knock him backwards.

Yes, in her eyes he saw the burning rage and hatred and the deep emotions of that night which now began to echo around them. He remembered it well enough, thought his alter ego did not have much of a memory when she stood next to him that night at the hospital. Being so close to the truth made him nervous; being as sick as he was, if she knew his identity he could easily become overpowered without the protective suit. But he had plans this day; he was tying up loose ends. It was time to wipe this irritation away for good.
As Flameshadow thrust forward, Black Death descended back into the wall of pitch darkness, enticing with a slow wave of the hand. The blade swung in all directions it seemed, lighting up the dark like a child with a glowstick on a string; slicing up the darkness. It fell into blotches around her as she sliced and diced. The light of day shown through as the darkness seemed to diminish, bubbling away with every swing. Suddenly everything was back to normal on the bridge, the dark wall was gone. Or was it?

Jamie grits her teeth and glared towards him as she slashed through the darkness at her enemy. She was really focused on fighting him even though it seemed impossible to do this on her one even dangerous in fact. The heroine wanted to take this monster down so everyone would be saved from this man . The scene continued to play around them as she tired her best to ignore this because it hurt her to remember this. She then aimed her blade towards what you thought was the man and jabbed towards him . She was trying her best to careful for any people because she use care about the innocent people on the bridge she didn't want to bring harm to them or allow Black Death to hurt them.

The figure she had stabbed into was a shadow figure and it faded. Suddenly around her puffs of darkness rose up and carved into cryptic looking shadow sculls. They would grow into skulls and then swirl away into the air. These creepy skulls taunted her from all around. First it would seem like one could be Black Death but then they weren't and they circled her, popping up and diminishing all over. These would keep her busy and allow her to let out angry energy. Yet not even she knew what was in store in the next moments. Things were about to get bad and get worse for Jamie.
Surrounded by menacing little shadow puppets, Flameshadow probably knew something was coming. Behind her growing up tall was Black Death, forming from the darkness was a shimmering blade from his scythe, a sickle shaded weapon he crafted himself and had already stained with blood. He swiped the whistling blade towards her, if she didn’t make a move she would be headless.

The skulls were swirling around her as spins around at as they taunt her making laughing movements. Jamie was really trying not to pay attention what was happening around because danger can be at any turn . She was sensing something was not going to go right for her if she wasn't careful she could be killed. she then ready her blade turning her blade sideways and listened for anything in the air . The swordsmanship training has caused her to sure to listened her surroundings.
She quickly brings her blade upwards as she makes a awkward turned trying to block the scythe with Clash of metal hitting metal making her stumble as she tried to pressed again him. Jamie'ss hands were bleeding from gripping her blade tighty as she stared into her enemy's eyes. "...." At moment if he sweeps she would easily fall the ground because she was tiring . She wanted to make sure she got out of this alive because all she could think about is her friends and how they would feel if they lost her.

The flickering of light and darkness as his shadowy trails swirled around them was enough to give anyone a confusing headache. He could see it in her eyes, she was failing, she was weak and he now had the upper hand. The blades scrapped and sparked as both put their force into it. The darkness closed in as he was slowly pushing her back. The ghostly green glowing eyes glared back into her desperate face. Then it happened, the curve of his scythe gave way and her sword slide from without of it. And as the force would move him, he twirling around for another swing, but it was then he noticed the end of the pole had swung down low, cracking her against the back of the head. It was lights out.
When he realized what had happened, the blade was quickly swung around and was held to the motionless heroine neck. A moment and he knew something was amiss. No fire, no clashing or swiping of her sword, not even a grrrr or grunt? Had he just taken out his enemy with a stick? Of course yes, this was the very thing he had waited for. Even by mistake, she was his now, her life was now hanging by a thread. Black Death hunched over her like a predator over a prey animal, ready to take the very essence of her life from her. The tip of the scythe slide gently across the bottom on her chin and stretched out her neck. He was lost in the moment, looking down at Flameshadow who had fallen by a single and unintentional blow.
Alright, perhaps it was a cruel thing, cheating even, taking her life while she had no awareness of anything. But then he was a cruel and heartless bastard to begin with. No one was here to save her this time. His fingers curled around the weapon as he took a better grip and a better stance over Flameshadow for the execution. He listened to her breathing as he slowly began rise the scythe above him. The moment was then ruined by a funny little jingle and a buzzing noise by his feet. Glazing down he saw a phone next to her pocket with a message popped up and he turning his head reading it.
[Hey Jamie grl! Where you at? Still coming?]
Jamie? Who was this Jamie? He thought. Black Death glazed back to her. This came from her pocket, so it must have been hers. He reached out and the darkness swiped up the phone and brought it up to him. Looking on the phone, the display photo he saw was a face that seemed to resemble hers and some men.
"So, a name to my masked foe? Jamie, lovely. It seems you bring me some mystery yet in this moment of your demise.”
Another message popped up as well as a photo for some people with drinks in a bar, seeming to be having a good time.
“Friends of yours my dear? It is a pity, they will miss you tonight. You had other plans, a date with Death. And now the world will know, not even you can stop me, Flameshadow!” He reached down lifting her up by her hair.
“You’ve gotten in my way for the last time. You’ve made this all too personal, now it’s time to end it!” He held the scythe with the other hand, ready to do what he wanted for a long time. He turned to the phone once more seeing another text message. His mind then twisted around, oh the dark idea that rang through his mind. This was not the end of Flameshadow, it was only the beginning.
