In Gotham you usually make more enemies than friends, even in his line of business. And it was no surprise that Derange found himself one more to add to the list here in San Francisco. Usually his devious plans and cons work yet it just so happened he got his strings crossed, and in the end he found himself in a knot that he couldn’t untie.

He messed this one up and no whimsical tricks or scams could save him, no big and tough guys to pick his fights, not even 'a do not kill' hero policy; he was just another animal for grabs in the jungle. He should have never flown out here, it was one of those things that seemed to good and it blinded him. He knew one day it would catch up to him or he'd get sloppy or mess up but he figured a padded cell was the outcome, not a rocky river bottom.

Yes sir, just him surrounded by a several angry Asian men and a frowning pissed of man in a limo. There was blood dripping down off his chin and his mask was crooked across his face. He leaned against the stone divider after being tossed out of a van, the men gave him a couple more kicks as he gasped and nervously chuckled.

Yes, he had just gotten the ass beating of a life time and his fate didn’t look good. He spend half the night captured and smacked around. The men surrounded him, he was weaponless, gutted of nearly all instruments, and he was nothing but a helpless fool. After a minute of rough housing, the man in the limo motioned his hand.

“Maybe you have a fish joke to delight us with? Come now. No? Throw him over and get rid of him, I’ve had enough of this fool.”

The window rolled up and the car slowly began to drive away. Derange laughed at the man as he tried to force the men off on his arms. He couldn’t make a comeback as he was gagged and tied up. Another punch to the neck and two men hoisted him over the side of the bridge. The clown wiggled frantically in the air as he fell towards the cold water below. Kuur-splash. The van screamed off, leaving Derange to his watery demise.

The heroine was sitting there on the top of then Bridge with her partner Kamiko on shoulder with a book in her hands reading it. she wanted sit alone for awhile away from her the tower. She always liked to study or read stuff on her one. She suddenly stood as someone got thrown from the bridge suddenly stood Kamiko knowing what she was going to about suddenly held to and suddenly drove as her wings spread out as she caught the around his underarms not seeing who it was because how dark it was. She knew it was her duty to help anyone she could .

Feet first into the cold water below and he knew he was a goner. He knew how to swim of course but with a broken wrist, two broken ribs and being beaten to a pulp. It would have been a struggle to get out with the heaviness his clown suit dragging in the cold water. Starting to sink after thrashing for a moment, he had to be dead, when he noticed he was in the air, flying above the river. He looked up and saw a set of massive wings. He was dead and this was an angel taking him to heaven or uh oh, the wings were dark colored, black even.

Well lets face it, even though he did a few nice things to cover the bad it didn’t make him a saint, he was still a villain; he robbed, killed and lied. And the bad guys usually end up running around deep in the fire pits with a pitch fork stuck in their butt. He could see his poor aunt now crying over his casket, weeping, why, why my sweet little Danny. Derange choked on some water but managed to breath after coughing. Suddenly he found himself on the ground in a park as the angel placed him down. He fell to his belly and then staggered up and took hold of the angel’s leg.

“One more chance, I can change, honest! I don’t want to die yet, not now. I don't want to burn in heck!” The clown looked up at the angel as the street light caught his sad face which was mostly covered by the soggy, wet, blue wig. Surly he was distort but as he was about to find out, this was about to get weirder. What would happen next?

Brandi stood over the man as she dropped him to ground. She stared down towards was surprised when he grabbed her leg begging for his life it seems. She realized when she saw his blue hair and her eyes widened. She started suddenly took her other foot order to kick him off her as she freaks out shrieking her heart was pounding. Brandi was horrified of clowns and it was going to make it hard for her fight him as she backed up from him little bit shaking and got ready to fight him . She just saved the guy if he was any other clown she would have just ran from him.

There in his disoriented state he thought he was at the end of whatever is at the end of that tunnel of light. And what was that? A KICK IN THE FACE! Derange fell back and screamed as she scream, also becoming alarmed and popped up.

“AHHH Ahhhh!”

Derange scrambled up and fell against the side of a tree. He held the side of his face and rubbed it, it hurt. He blinked. He wasn’t dead, he was somewhere in a park or something, and in the distance he saw the bridge and took a second to put it together as he looked at the winged heroine before him. He got a surprised look on his face.


“I’m Alive! I’m ALIVE! OOOOO!“

He threw his hands up, then hollered and fell back down against the tree. Yes it hurt, his body hurt, it felt like he got hit by a car or rather pummeled by a mob. He held his side as looked at the heroine. His wrist was broken, two ribs and his nose and he was going to have a lot of black and blue marks. He began nervously giggling as he could feel the pain coming back to him after the cold dip in the river. He shook as he saw blood dripping from his face onto his lap. He began laughing louder as the look on her face grew and he staggered up, clinging to the tree.


“Well thanks for saving me kiddo but you know I think I’ll be going…. Ouch… ouch….. ouiee ouieeee!”

Brandi looked towards him and glared at him. When she realized who he was he was one of the criminals that caused trouble to everyone. She still had tears in her eyes from her fear as stepped forward boldly and took a stepped to grab him by his suit at least attempt to grab him to stop him from getting way then she would say in a rough tone trying to be brave as she possibility could " your not going anywhere Clown but the hospital and then jail " She was aware she was hard even if she arrested right now he would have to get treatment for his injuries

This wasn’t some angel of death sent here to send him in a certain direction, nope! She was one of them, the hero types and even though she had saved his can, there was no doubt he was headed for the slammer. She struck out and snatched him by the scruff of his costum. Oh it was curtains for this circus act! But through his pain, chilled bones, disorientation and fear, he noticed something about her in her face. Yes, he remembered her, the winged heroine that interrupted him and Sugar Rush’s plans. When they met she seemed terrified of him, more so than any normal person and never less a hero. As their eyes locked he could see it still in her face. He wasn’t fighting his way out of this one, so in the moment there was only one action he could make.

He laughed.

A typed of sad, jittery and nervous laugh that grew into something deeper; more disturbing, insane and unnerving. For the first time since he was a child, he truly thought he was going to die. So his mind started to trip back to a state of trauma and panic. And it was all coming back out. He began full out bursts of manic laughter. His mouth was stretched wide and his teeth gleaned stained with blood. It was a laugh that reached into the deep darkness of his being, it was terrifying. His pupils dilated both to different sizes and his eyes watered and bugged out. He stared right at her and grabbed around her wrist that had hold of him.
