(Heroes and Villains Welcomed)
From a random rooftop, the Mother Dragon watched over the citizens of New York, citizens she called her "children." She had failed to protect her own children all those years ago, but now she had a chance at retribution. Like the Mother Dragon in the story she had told to her children many times, that her mother had told her many times, she was now a protector, a guardian.
She heard a scream in the night, and then saw one shadow pursue another. Some time later, a man had cornered a woman in an alley, hoping to take her money... and more. She felt hopeless, helpless as he approached her, licking his lips like a savage predator. Then there was the cloud of smoke. From it emerged the Mother Dragon. The frightened would be rapist pulled his knife. The Dragon revealed her retractable claws on her gloves. One gloved knocked his knife away, the other glove slashed his face. A swift kick to the face knocked him out cold.
Before the woman could thank her savior, the smoke reappeared and the hero was gone.

Jamie had her second hover board since Black Death had destroyed her first one and flew over the city. She was on her daily patrols of their city and stopped and watched from above with her goggles focused down towards her teammate and smiled little bit. She then flew down towards the rooftop and then jumped off her hover-board and held it upward. She then walked over towards her friend and smiled "hello MD” she didn't feel like using her full name so she used a nickname. She wasn't sure if called her real name since they were both on duty at moment as she looked towards the city also.

The Mother Dragon had re-emerged on the rooftop just before FlameShadow spotted her. She turned and smiled at her ally...her friend. One would think that after all the Mother Dragon had been through, she could no longer smile. But she had found a new family in the JLA. It couldn't replace her old one- her two dear, now deceased children, her husband, still alive but merely a memory to her. But still, she considered JLA a family.
"Hello, FS," she said, playing along with the nickname game. She cared for Jamie a great deal, seeing her as a sister-in-heroism in a way. "I was just on my way to the old museum...to pay my respects. Would you like to join me?"

Jamie leans against the hover-board and smiled towards her friend. The woman was like a sister to her because she had no real families and she considered all her fellow Avengers as such. She was currently dating James and they have broken it off so far. She looked around first to make sure no one was there to hear and nodded "of course Jenna I will go with Museum with you” She collapsed her hover-board and placed it on her back

Mother Dragon gave her a smile and nod as she leaped off the building, using her wings-like cape to glide down to the streets. The museum was not far from there. There was little left of it after the explosion that took her son and daughter's life on that day years before. While Jenna Thaxwell visited the actual graves, Mother Dragon paid her respects at the museum. She removed two roses from her belt, knelt down and placed them on the ground.
"Mommy misses you, dearest Peter, my beautiful Laura," she said, shedding a few tears as she always did. "Be in peace wherever you may be now."
Mother Dragon rose and turned to Flameshadow. The area was empty so she called her friend by her real name.
"Every year I come here to do this, it seems like yesterday that it all happened, Jamie," she said. "Standing there, watching this place go up in flames because some madmen wanted to make believe they possessed some high level of power and control. Being torn away from the two most precious people in my life in seconds. I wonder where my mind would be now if the Wiseman hadn't found me."

She then decided to take off her hover-board again and flew and followed her towards the ruins of the old museum and looked towards her sideways and signed. She was silent as she left some flowers down on site. She didn't understand mourning because she was thought that death happens and emotion about it was points but she couldn't help but feel sad. she Didn’t hear much of about the story about the woman's own children but. She sits there and just listened to Jenna tell her story about what happened at this place . She nodded little bit towards her. She then looked towards " You must miss them right "......i was always thought when some dies you need to mourn their passing because its pointless they are gone i am shouldn't be saying this I do care through " she stared off at distance

The Mother Dragon walked over and placed her arm around Jamie.
"It's alright, my friend," she said. "Yes, it still hurts when I come here, but the Wiseman taught me to harness my pain. My love for my children makes me stronger, makes me aware that there are other children to protect." The Mother Dragon smiled a bit. "I guess to some it sounds silly to call everyone in New York my 'children', but that's how I see every person I save from a mugging or an apartment fire. And then there's the JLA. You all make me feel like I have a family again."

She nodded little and then looked towards Jenna and allowed her to place an around her shoulder. She then just listened as spoke again and just smiled towards as she called her like her family and felt basically the same she did. This made her really happy to know and also protecting people in this city was just as important to her.
