It was closer to two or three o'clock in the morning and Vincent had left the warm side of her beau Octavius to come down to her work shop. She'd changed back into her jean shorts, work boots and tank top, and hadn't bothered cleaning her self up much as she'd had a warm shower after she'd gotten out of work.
She was toying with a project she'd been thinking about for a long time. She wanted to perfect the NanoVirus that had saved Tony's life as well as created his Blood Edge armor. The idea was very intoxicating, no change time, no power up time, just a quick switch of brain function- a mere thought and she'd be able to change into the Ironman suit. This had been Vincent's pet project for some time, and tonight she was making the home stretch into getting it finished.
Looking through a microscope at the tiny robots Vincent then read the information from the computer monitor behind with her tecnopathy. "I think we're ready." She said sitting back and taking a deep breath.
Though it was her pet project she was having a second thoughts, this procedure would change her body forever... her stomach was tight with butterflies and tension.

-Tony Stark- Tony had been up himself. He didn't sleep a great deal anymore. His brain was too...wired to the world. He had alternate means of keeping himself going. Short bursts of sleep to re-charge as opposed to long, singular periods, plenty of coffee. He stood at the doorway for a few moments, resting one arm against the door frame before walking in. He cast his gaze towards a holographic projection of Vincent's notes and ponderings. Old Man Stark took a moment to run it around in his head before announcing his presence with. "Using synthetic tetracontapeptide's to ease the Extremis into the body, it'll work but its crude." A father was easily proud of his daughter's work but engineer's couldn't give each other too much. That was a matter of competition. He wandered back over to her and placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head before ruffling her hair. He wasn't going to ask what she was doing up, he was a genius engineer himself. He understood perfectly.

Vincent smiled when Tony entered and kissed her on the head. "No, I had already thought of that." She said to her father, then back at the screen. "It's just that I'm... nervous?" She chuckled nervously.
The woman crossed her arms before cutting her eyes back to the older Stark. "I suppose you didn't have a lot of doubts injecting your self with these things since it was life or death, but I'm wondering how is this going to effect me?" She'd run the stats a hundred times, the majority of the effects were all beneficial, but there were a few she was worried about. There was insubsquential data about how it would effect her reproductive systems, would she ever be able to have children. Would it effect her sleep patterns, would she be able to shut off all the buzzing in her head long enough to sleep? Would it exhaust her to absorb all of the information around her all of the time.
"I suppose that doesn't sound very innovative now does it."

-Tony Stark- "Are you kidding me? I nearly wet myself." Much like the last time he had to fight the Hulk but the amount of Vodka he had drunk was as responsible for that as Hulk reshaping his helmet with his foot. He had been....pretty drunk. "Damned if I didn't, could be damned if I did. Wasn't great odds." "What you have is a technology that is far superior. What I injected myself with was a rock compared to your laser guided missile. There's no comparison, I had the crude original and this isn't classic rock. The original is not better. Your math is solid, the numbers work. But..." there was always a but. "Its bleeding edge technology, it'll cut the other guy but it might cut your hand too. There is always a risk. Even my botox has side effects." He sat on the table she had been working on, propping himself against it as much as anything else. "Whatever you decide, I want you to know that everything you've ever done has made me nothing but proud." he placed a hand on her shoulder and left it there for a moment before looking down at her. His Vincent. Twenty six she might be but she was his little girl now.

She nodded as he spoke, his hand on her shoulder. "Thanks Tony." She said putting her hand on top of his. "I guess I just... well I guess I'm thinking if I got so much of you in me, the technopathy and all, I'm just worried what I'll pass on? Is this a legacy, or are we going too far?"
The machine beside her beeped, she lifted the lid and held up the syringe from it. "Well I guess I don't have a I'll have to put my musings aside." She sighed contently. "Are you jealous I perfected your NanoVirus?" She said toying with the glass syringe in her hands. She remembered the first time Tony had brought her down to the workshop when she was a little girl, there had been ironman armor hanging every where and he was working on a classic car, it was then that she'd fallen in love with machinery. They had worked all summer to rebuild that engine, it was the biggest let down in her life at the time that her mother had made them come home before they were able to test drive she and Tony's car.
A smile played on Vincent's face as she twirled the syringe in her hands, she wasn't sure how she wanted to injected it, into the back of the neck perhaps? It seemed like it might hurt but it would be the most effect place to place the virus.

-Tony Stark- "Perfected? No...no I don't think I ever said that." Tony looked away for a moment, shaking his head and putting on his 'critique face.' "I would say you improved an abandoned project. Made it a little more elegant with a crude means mind you. But I'm proud of your elegantly crude improvement." He hadn't entirely mastered the art of juggling father and engineer.

Vincent gave her father a look that suggested he was going senile. "Now now Tony, you don't need to be jealous. You were working with technology that was crude, no one thinks your achievements were any less." She pat her father on the shoulder.
"Well..." She took a long deep breath and released it. "Let's get this over with." Taking the syringe in hand Vincent uncapped it ad held the hypo to to the base of her skull, she closed her eyes and pressed the release. The sting of the needle caused her face to tighten for a moment until the needle released. "Ouch." She said setting the hypo back down on to the table. "So, how long does this take to start showing the ef-" Vincent was cut short but the sudden humming her her brain. "Did it just get louder in here?" She asked loudly her cheeks feeling hot and her bones starting to ache.
In her calculations she had realized this was a likely outcome, her armor was now to be stored in the marrow of her bones, and thus the nanovirus would have to make it's way into her bones, but she did't expect it to hurt- or did she? Like wise the room felt very loud and Vincent could only assume it was the incoming information from the technology around her. How did Tony deal with? It was all to much.

-Tony Stark- Tony just watched for a moment as Vincent injected herself. It was a big step but the actual risks were....statistically unlikely of causing anything that a stiff drink wouldn't fix. But still...the process wasn't the best. Any moment now she was going to start getting feedback. That was the fun part, when her brain and the nanobots linked up and started processing information. "That's just background static, you'll stop noticing it soon." Soon she'd start to actually hear everything. Like a telepath gaining their powers for the first time and all the thoughts flooding them. Even the AI from every armour in the room would suddenly be asking Vincent what she had for dinner.

Vincent leaned over almost as if she had a sudden case of vertigo. "Jesus Christ." She said loudly, pressing her index finger to the shell of her ear as if trying to stop the sound from coming in. "There is so much... noise."
It was the strangest feeling having your brain suddenly connecting with every computer around you, taking in information, hearing the programs running and their tasks. The AI in her armor was the loudest, and that made her almost laugh with delight. "This is incredible." she put her hands over her ears as she stood up straight. The aching in her bones was intensifying and her muscles ached as the pathways built channels for the armor to exit the bones through.
The slight groan escaped her throat as the feeling in her muscles burned more, it was starting to turn from a dull ache to a full burning pain. She grabbed Tony by the hand and gave him a nervous laugh and smile. "Is it supposed to burn?"

-Tony Stark- It was when she stood up that Tony moved, stepping behind her to intercept in the event that she fell, regardless his arms moved to gently take her by her own arms as a little proactive measure. "It'll pass." It all passed, and then her mind would explode as a whole new world would become open to her.

Vincent took a deep breath and suddenly the burning in her muscles stopped, the noise stopped she closed her eyes tighter as if she was worried if she opened them things would be loud and chaotic once more. She suddenly felt Tony's hands on her own arms and sighed with relief.
When she opened her eyes she was suddenly aware of things clearly and vividly, the information passing from one connection to another, the AI in her suit, the ARC Reactor in Tony's chest, the security system in the room. It all came together clearly and made perfect sense. She steadied her self and smiled at Tony. "I - I think it's working." She laughed triumphantly. "Do you think it'll be okay for me to test the armor?" She wasn't sure if she had to let it cook in her bones or what not. It wasn't like she'd actually thought to ask Tony how long it took before he could use the bleeding edge armor. She locked eyes with her father, a bright shining smile on her face. She couldn't wait to fly.
