S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, an undisclosed location over the Pacific Ocean. 28th of July, 08:32 CSTDoomstadt has been hit during the night. It was all over the news, people wouldn't need a S.H.I.E.L.D. briefing to be informed that the capital city of Latveria had been obliterated and the death toll was estimated at over a million people. There were other details however. Details the Hero community would need to know about to successfully do everything they could. The Justice League of Avengers & Young Titans had been contacted.
Michael Barton, otherwise known as 'Hawkeye' would be leading the briefing. He was good at it, good at running the information and answering questions on the spot. Adorned now in a standard S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform he gazed at the row of monitors set up for the purpose of having a little show and tell. It was just running different news channels at the moment.

Rubbing his face, Charlie walked towards the conference. One point two million people died in one night. Whoever did this, we need to find them and lock them up. Pulling his hood down, he sighed. While he was in costume, he didn't have his weapons with him as they were not needed right now. Working with S.H.I.E.L.D would have been an interesting experience on any other day. But today, the young hero just considered it to be like any other work day. Rubbing his hands together, he walked towards the door and into the room.
Looking at the agent who was in the room, Charlie cleared his throat and said. “Agent. Am I the first to arrive from the League?” He had been a bit blunt and tactless because it seemed the best thing to do right now. One point two million were dead, and this meant Charlie's mindset was in Robin Hood mode, being slightly angry and more to the point. Rolling his shoulders, he then said “My codenames Robin Hood. That's all you need to know for now.”

"Nonsense, Robin, this man knows everything there is to know about you, he's in S.H.I.E.L.D." Vincent Howard Stark was the next to arrive, hair worn in a tight bun on the back of her head, her new Extremis Armor ready to transform at her summoning. For now she was wearing high heels and a pencil skirt, she'd been in Hong Kong at a late night business meeting when she'd heard the news, it was all she could do to keep from flying to Latveria first, thankfully Shield had gotten ahold of her and she was able to save a trip and make her way directly to the helicarrier.
Some would have thought Ms. Stark's business like attitude would be considered cold and callous, but it was like every one here just how she dealt with shock.
"I'm assuming we have men on the ground Agent Barton?" Asked Vincent looking around the room with trained eye. She felt like she was experiencing the Helicarrier for the first time with her newly enhanced technopathy.

Jamie appeared right after Vincent she had her goggles over her forehead and was holding her hover board on its tip. She knew something like this was going happened although she could have at least warned them of such thing and maybe millions of people could have been saved. She sighed as she walked towards her fellow teammates and looked towards them sadly . She had thought in her mind lives could have been saved if she would have just said something being from the future and all this would be in her history. "Flameshadow Reporting sir ....." she said in small voice as she looked off to the side.

"Alright Titans lets move out!" Black Barda had been awake when the call from S.H.I.E.L.D, she didn't need to sleep as much of the others she used the time get a start on the day, eat breakfast, workout, shower, catch up on news feeds. That sort of thing. But now S.H.I.E.L.D. needed the Young Titans. When S.H.I.E.L.D. called the Titans responded. If was good field experience and you made good contacts. Maybe even someone from the JLA would take notice this time. Would be great to be upgraded to the top team. Taking up her Motherbox Barda set it to bring them to the Helicarrier and then. BOOM.

A Boom Tube exploded into life in the center of the room, within moments the Young Titan's resident New Goddess emerged, looking confident and ready for what he day would bring. "Young Titans, ready to go." Of course there would be a briefing first, but fancy entrances and all that. |

Anneliese stepped out of the 'Boom Tube' dressed in her 'Nightfire' uniform. Of course, her brother didn't like it at all, but it was comfortable, easy to fight in, a good distraction method AND it was nostalgic of her mothers own uniform when she was young, a matching purple mask covering her fog blue eyes. There was no need for the mask right now - everyone knew each others identities after all - but it was a hassle to stick on in a rush. "Always so eager." She drawled, her tone exasperated, yet there was no way to hide the worry in her voice. All those people, gone. Dead. Snuffed out with nothing left. It was horrible. Inexcusable. It made her half alien, half human blood boil, roaring and raging for vengeance. She looked at the monitors and winced. So much destruction. She felt a hand slip into hers and squeeze, which she returned without looking, lacing her fingers together with her brother. She felt the familiar chill down her spine that she always got when they had identical thoughts at the same time. 'Someone will pay. The royal monarch of Atlantis stepped out of the boomtube next. Anreal other wise none to the group at large as Marina stood in her Atlantean battle armor, her face a cross between sad and angry, she had such fond if not foggy memories of the snowy place shown on the monitors.
The VonDooms, though mostly all hated within the super hero community were close friends of the Royal family of Atlantis.
King Namor the first and the esteemed dictator Victor VonDoom were close in the years past and though they parted ways they always shared fond memories of one another and visiting one another's homes and lands.
"Marina of Atlantis with the Young Titans here to offer our service, and my extent the service of Atlantis." She greeted not bothering to look at Barton but paying all her attention to the screens, watching the replay of the damage that had been going on for who knew how long.

Octavius had flown to the Helicarrier, swift Mjolnir carrying him with great speed. He was growing comfortable with the hammer, very comfortable. When he landed on the Helicarrier he was escorted to the briefing room where he found several others already waiting. He took position beside Vincent but could not bring himself to smile, what was happening in the land of Latveria was most troubling. A million people dead. "What Hel-borne fiend is responsible?" It was no surprise the country was in mourning. Most of the world must have been in mourning. A million lives, gone.

Pete was rudely awakened with some horrible news. The Latverian capitol city had been destroyed and the death toll was astronomical. The other Titans all seemed to be filled with a kind of righteous fury. Pete just felt... empathetic. Maybe he had a hard time wrapping his head around just how massive this tragedy was but he just didn't feel the loss of a million strangers. It didn't hit close enough to home for him. Because of this, Pete felt like a piece of shit. For Christ's sake, it was a million people dead and Pete still had a hard time waking up this early!
He suited up in his Red Hood outfit, complete with black riot armor, white leather jacket and red domino mask. Pete gripped the hood tightly in his hand. His normal jovial attitude was blanketed by an expressionless gaze. This was no time for jokes. Pete stepped through the boom tube with the rest of the Titans. Man, he had never been on the hellicarrier before! His excitement was immediately dampened by all the stoic expressions in the room. There were plenty of heavy hitters here like Iron Man and Octavius. Compared to them Pete felt small. They were probably feeling that same righteous anger. Hood felt even worse. After Anreal spoke up, Pete followed with a meager introduction.
"And I'm Pete... shit, I mean Red Hood. Uh, Either works." He said with a small nod. |

Sam heard Barda call forth the team in preparation for the briefing with S.H.I.E.L.D. He was a little behind Barda, but doubled back to grab his rifle and remembered that no one other than SHIELD personnel were granted weapons access. Glumly he headed back towards the tube. He didn't know how much longer it would remain opened, but spread word to the other Titans as he marched down the main hall. "Ti-TANS!!! LET'S GO!!!!" he bellowed.
Then he barked a short command, "Computer. Initiate wake sequence Theta, Threat level One." He made the order to sound an alarm throughout the Tower which should wake any remaining Titans from their slumber, it would go off once the Tower was empty. He had a feeling in his gut, as he stepped through the tube and now watched the various images flash across the screens in the Helicarrier, that this was going to be one of those "all hands on deck" moments. He removed his sunglasses, tucking them into a pocket on his sleeve, looked at the assembled heroes and spoke, "Agent... Barton I presume?"

Agent Barton gave a smile when Robin Hood and Iron Man arrived. "Yes, first to arrive." he didn't reply to Vincent's statement. S.H.I.E.L.D. knew what S.H.I.E.L.D. and what S.H.I.E.L.D. was for S.H.I.E.L.D. to know. Flameshadow arrived next, a good Justice League of Avengers turn out thus far. When the Boom Tube exploded into the distance Barton remained his unflappable self. He was not easily flapped. He did take a moment to clear out his ears however, but popped ears would do that.
Black Barda, Nightfire, Nightstar, Marina, Pete Red Hood & Shockback all came through the tube. The Young Titans made an entrance, he'd give them that. Finally Octavius arrived. With that Barton stepped forward, pointing a finger at Shockback while he did. "Hole in one. I am Agent Barton, otherwise known as Hawkeye. I'm going to brief you on what we know about last nights attack." he informed before holding a little device that after he pressed something on it revealed itself to be a simple prompting tool for the monitors.
The different news channels all changed into a single one, the image spread across over all the monitors to provide one large feed. "As you are probably aware at approximately twelve-oh-six local time Doomstadt as attacked. Castle Doom was the first to be hit and was obliterated in the opening explosion before the attack progressed. News channels are reporting a million casualties, our figures put it closer to a one point two million." Barton gave it a moment to let everything sink in and with a press of his prompter the image changed to a semi-decent feed of the opening attack. It seemed like a small meteor struck the castle but the explosion seemed to obliterate it entirely. Before the dust had settled a speeding blur made its way down towards the city and proceeding to devastate the capital city's central area. "As you can see we have satellite footage of the attack as it was beginning." S.H.I.E.L.D. made it a priority to watch Castle Doom at all times.
"We can confirm the man responsible for the attack is this man, Tsade Adam, heir to Kandaq's Royal seat. Our mystic division detected a magic spike in Kahndaq not long before the attack in Latveria began, its mystic trail lead to Latveria, Castle Doom to be precise. As a non-U.N. State our hands are tied in terms of routinely monitering Kahndaq but we did eventually obtain a view of the Royal Palace in Shiruta and its been burned to the ground. It is possibly the attack on Doomstadt was a response to actions made by the Von Dooms. We have the Regent of Latveria Bor Von Doom in custody, he surrendered when S.H.I.E.L.D. arrived to pave the way for aide workers. Victor, Serina and Sorin are currently unaccounted for." |

Watching the screen closely Vincent had to resist the urge to flip faster through the slides being shown by Agent Barton as she was processing information much faster than before, and most likely faster than most of the others in the room bar a few.
"I always thought Kahndaq was a peaceful country." Vincent spoke up. "Have we completed an interrogation of Bor VonDoom, perhaps we could find out why Latveria would attack Kahndaq, or rather for the sake of diplomacy why Kahdaq would have thought Latveria attacked them."
The number crunching began in Vincent's brain working through the possibilities of what this man was capable, he took down an entire city in just a night with out setting off any alarms, with out calling any back up. The power level was unthinkable.

Director Rogers entered the room from the rear doors, the file Barton had sent him earlier before the briefing began held in one hand, a coffee in the other. Under his suit his ribs, thigh, right shoulder and right hand were wrapped tight in bandages, while his body tried to heal the broken bones he suffered in the last visit to Latveria. Despite what the rulers of the state had done the rest of the population didn't deserve what had happened to them. And as tragic as it was there was nothing like a global disaster to bring so many good heroes together in one place.
It wasn't his briefing or his operation and he had no intentions of butting in or trying to muscle the young Agent from the command of it, he was simply there to advise or help out if needed. He took a seat at the back of the room as quietly as he could and continued to listen to the questions and answers as they came, his eyes scanning through the files contents once more while he sipped his coffee.
As much as he hated to admit this kind of incident would push S.H.I.E.L.D. 's capabilities to their limits. They needed the heroes working on the same page for this one and not going out to prove themselves or gain personal glory or rush headlong into the fray with thoughts of vengence for the fallen. They had to come up with a plan.
He nodded to Barton as the younger man aknowledged him, but he kept quiet, it wasn't his briefing this time round.

Nodding slightly, Robin Hood said “Okay Agent. And I know Vincent. But, as always, the Bat-Family is suspicious and slightly paranoid.” S.H.I.E.L.D may have known what it needed to about the Bat-Family and about other heroes, but they didn't really need to know their real identities, even though this organization probably did. The others began to arrive, but the most prominent in Robin Hoods mind were Octavius Thorsson, Nightfire, Nightstar, Red Hood and several others.
Nodding to what Agent Barton had to say about his codename, and what he would be briefing, Charlie wondered how these attacks had been made possible. He would have gone to Latveria and found the person responsible himself and then made them suffer for the atrocious actions they had performed. But, he had restrained himself from doing that. Pulling his hood down, he looked at the monitors as Barton began the briefing. His knuckles turned white from the force he clenched them with, as the news was told. One point two million people died in one night.
When the picture of the man who was responsible was shown, Charlie stared at the picture. He was memorizing it, something he easily could do to his eidetic memory. “This might just be the start. If he was capable of this, he might try to attack an even more influential and significant city. Which means, if he tries this, we'll need to try and prevent him doing this.” Rubbing his hands together, Charlie didn't know what else to say now. He'd said his piece, but he wasn't sure what else to say.

Brandi was out in the and then puts her hand to her and finally heard the call on her ear piece .She suddenly went an flew as fast as could to make it on time for this. She knew this was important so used the force of her wings to make it there. She then stepped inside of place quickly. She didn't use the boom tube like the others did, She then saw that she wasn't exactly on time and she looked towards her teammates and then says " OK Black Angel here finally forgive me if i am late what happened can someone fill me in ?" She wanted someone tell her what was going on as she looked towards the bald man on the screen and repeating scenes on the screen .
