Punching a punch bag, Charlie got ready for a good bit of training. But it wasn't solo training. It was training with a member of the Bat-Family, the new Robin. Real name was Barbara “Bee” Shepherd. Since they were both in the Bat-Family, it seemed a good idea to train with her. He was only partially in his costume, as he wasn't wearing his jacket or hood, or his domino mask. Most members of the JLA knew his identity, so he didn't really need to hide his eyes. It was just something he did at the tower occasionally, or when he was wearing full costume. Punching the bag a few more times, he decided that it was time to practice his archery skills again. He'd already done his two hours of practice today, but he thought another fifteen minutes couldn't hurt.
Walking to the archery range, a memory came forth. The day he had started taking archery lessons, taking a step towards using archery in his skills. On that day, he'd picked up; the bow and the arrows and felt a sense of destiny. Like this was a weapon he could use proficiently. Smiling slightly, Charlie picked up a bow, and strung an arrow on the bowstring. Taking aim, Charlie aimed for the bullseye, and he fired the arrow at the bullseye. A grin came to his face when it hit the bullseye, only slightly off. Cracking his neck, he strung two arrows at once, and took aim. Firing them, one hit the target next to the one he had fired at, and the other missed the first arrow he had fired by an inch. Grinning, he said “Archery. Best substitute for a fire arm a Robin or Bat can us.”
