Civilian Attire:
Because Bee’s mother is a famous fashion designer, Bee can normally be seen in trendy, brand-name items, some of which haven’t even hit the stores yet. She usually wears jeans and cute tops, and she loves wearing hats and funky jewelry.
Personality:
Bright and bubbly, Bee takes a lot after her mother. She’s a fun-loving girl and pretty much a typical teenager. But she also loves being a superhero, and she takes that job very seriously. Being Robin is the most important thing to her right now. She wants to be a good hero, and live up to the legends that other members of the Batfamily have become. Bee’s biggest fear is that she would be a disappointment to the batfamily. Bee does have a temper though, and when angered she can be snappy and short- but she almost always feels sorry about if once she calms down.
Like most speedsters, Bee can be highly impatient at times, and often tends to speak without thinking. Bee is very intelligent- she isn’t a genius by any means, but her brain works fast enough that she may seem like one at times. She is very observant and a very good strategist- she can look at a problem and quickly figure a way out of it.
She is very polite- she refers to most adults as either “Miss” or “Mister”, with the exception of the Bat Family, the Birds of Prey, or the former Young Avengers- they get the titles of “Aunt” and “Uncle”, regardless of whether or not she is actually related to them.

The Hero
Codename:
Robin
Hero Attire:
Like all of the previous Robins, Bee’s costume is green and red with a bit of yellow, but modified a bit more to her liking. She wears a green skirt on top of a pair of black leggings, with black boots with white laces that come up almost to her knee. Her top is red and sleeveless, but still with yellow buttons and the signature “R” on the left side of her chest. She wears tight green gloves that come up to just below her elbows, and a black and yellow cape. She also wears a yellow belt that has various pouches on it for Bat-gear, and a black mask that covers her eyes. She pulls her hair back into a ponytail, but a few strands usually fall down and frame her face.
Powers:
Superspeed
Like her father and great-uncle, Bee has the ability to run and move at super speed. She can currently run around the speed of sound, and can occasionally push herself faster when need be. When she gets older and gains more experience, she will eventually be able to run even faster.
Bee can use this speed for a variety of feats- she can out run gravity to run up walls or across water. She can even vibrate her molecules fast enough to pass through solid objects. She can take people with her when passing through solid objects, as long as they are touching her. She can even transfer this vibration towards solid objects. This, in turn, accelerates and destabilizes atomic matter, causing that solid object to explode.
Enhanced Durability
Bee’s body is strong enough to withstand the forces of gravity and friction at the high speeds at which she can travel. She can breathe and function normally at these high speeds.
Enhanced Metabolism/Body Functions
Bee’s body works much faster than a normal human’s body. Her metabolism is much faster than a normal human’s, and so she burns calories at an extremely fast rate. She needs to eat quite a bit to be able to function normally. In addition, she can think much faster than normal humans- as an example, she can quickly figure out math problems, giving people who don’t know about her super speed the impression that she’s some sort of genius. This ability also grants her a minor immunity to telepaths- while a telepath can still get into her head, they will have trouble discerning her thoughts.
Immunity to Detection by Security Systems
Despite the genetic nature of Homo Magi powers, this is the only ability that Bee inherited from her mother. Bee is immune to detection from security systems- it doesn’t matter the type, they simply do not register her on their system.
Magical Potential
Bee’s mother is descended from the Homo Magi, and her grandmother and uncle both possess strong mystical abilities. Bee has the capability to become a very strong magician, however, she has received no training in the mystic arts yet.
Skills:
”Robin” skills: Bee calls most of her skills her “Robin” skills. She can easily pick most locks. She has proven herself to be a capable computer hacker, and can hack into most systems to view footage from security cameras, for instance. She has very good aim in throwing her “Robin-Rangs”. She is somewhat skilled in hand-to-hand combat, but prefers to use her super speed in a fight to win.
Gymnastics:
Bee is very flexible and athletic, having taken gymnastics classes from a young age. She used to compete (and place) in various competitions before taking on the mantle of Robin.
Special Equipment:
Various bat-gear, to include Robin-versions of both normal batarangs and exploding ones, a bat-grapple, small masks for breathing underwater or gas masks, lockpicks, and so on.
Her left glove has a computer built into it that has a hologram screen that appears above her wrist whenever she needs to use it. In addition, her mask has several “filters” built into it that provide her with night vision and infrared sensors.
Her clothing is also designed to withstand the strong forces of friction that she deals with when running at high speeds.
Weaknesses:
When Bee runs at an excessive speed for a long amount of time, she sometimes has trouble slowing back down. She also always has this trouble after vibrating her molecules fast enough to pass through solid objects- after doing so, she will need several minutes to recover.
Although she can channel her superspeed into solid objects to make them explode, it is very hard for her to channel or control these vibrations. If she’s not careful, she can accidentally make something explode that she hadn’t intended to damage. She rarely does this, though, unless she has no other choice- she actually is a bit afraid of what that could do.
When excited or feeling any other heightened emotion, Bee tends to talk extremely fast so people can’t understand what she is saying. Bee also lacks experience in hand-to-hand combat, instead choosing to use her super speed to win in a fight. If her powers are repressed in any way, she’ll have more trouble in a fight.
Most Heroic Achievements:
Becoming Robin!
History:
Charlie and Tommy met soon after the two worlds collided. Although the Birds of Prey broke up, Charlie never gave up being Misfit. She continued her role as a hero, and that was how she ended up meeting Speed. The two showed up at the same time to stop a bank robbery, and worked together to stop the metahuman villain who was committing it. Charlie was immediately interested in this hero from the other world- and Tommy was, as well. The two teamed up a few more times on their own, and it wasn’t long before Misfit teamed up with the Young Avengers. First they were just working together unofficially, but her membership became official soon after that, making her one of the first heroes to join a team from “the other world”. Charlie and Tommy began dating after they both graduated high school, and he proposed soon after their college graduation. The two were married a year later in a huge ceremony, where Charlie wore a dress of her own design. Their decision to have kids, though, wasn’t as easy as it had seemed in theory. Charlie had trouble getting pregnant, and she suffered a couple of miscarriages before they finally figured out what was wrong. They both knew that Charlie was the only living thing that could survive her teleportation- her children, even though she was pregnant, weren’t included.
Charlie blamed herself (and she still does, to this day), but once she stopped bouncing it didn’t take long for her to become pregnant. Their daughter was born nine months later, a little red haired girl they named Barbara in honor of Barbara Gordon, who had become like a mother to Misfit.
Bee was spoiled growing up, but not to the point of being a brat. Her mother had a successful career as a fashion designer (and costume designer for heroes), and so Bee never wanted for anything- it was so different from both of her parent’s childhoods. Bee loved spending time with her mother- Charlie would often let her pick out colors or fabric designs for something she was designing, and then sew a Bee-sized version of whatever it was. She was daddy’s little girl, though, and she had Tommy wrapped around her little fingers. Bee started gymnastics lessons when she was five years old, after seeing a gymnastics event on TV and deciding that she wanted to do the same thing.
Charlie and Tommy didn’t keep their identities secret from Bee. She knew that her parents were Misfit and Speed, and that when she was old enough, she wanted to be a hero just like them. They were both a bit apprehensive- they knew how hard life as a hero could be, and they didn’t want to force Bee into anything. Bee argued back, though, saying that it was her choice to eventually become a superhero. Her decision was solidified when she was thirteen, and her mutant powers manifested. Instead of getting her powers from her mother, Bee inherited the X-Gene from her father, and gained super speed, just like him. Bee started training with her father, learning how to control her speed and then how to use it in a fight. Charlie taught her some of the knowledge she had picked up while being part of the Batfamily. It wasn’t soon after these lessons started that Bee made her goal: she wanted to join the Batfamily, as Robin!
Charlie and Barbara Gordon had always maintained their close, mother-daughter like relationship, so Bee spent quite a bit of time with the Batfamily’s civilian identities growing up. It was only after her powers manifested that she was either told or figured out their hero ones. Bee had always viewed herself as part of that family- even though there wasn’t anything official saying so. Her wanting to become Robin was something that she saw as continuing the family tradition.
Bee was fifteen when she first started sneaking out to do actual hero work. She wore a copy of her mother’s old costume, and went around Gotham for a bit as Misfit, stopping crime and beating up bad guys. Her parents figured out what she was doing soon after she began= they weren’t sure if she was ready to start out yet or not, but obviously Bee thought she was.
A long talk with other members of the Batfamily followed. Her mother designed a costume that would hold up under her super speed, and Bee proudly wears it today as the newest Robin. She hopes to live up to all of the Robins before her, and be a great superhero.
