Post by Octavius Thorson on Mar 8, 2012 22:37:20 GMT 1
It all started with the arrival of Hjordis from Asgard. The old friend ad ally of Octavius Thorson brought the Justice League of Avengers dire news! The Asgardian Heroine had discovered a plot being hatched in Joteheim. Bor Von Doom was not the chief architect behind the invasion of the Midgard Ream of Serbia, it was the treacherous Alti Lokisen! Using an ancient ritual Alti aimed to become the living incarnation of Jotenheim itself. Such a thing would make him in league with the Skyfathers! To perform his ritual he needed a tremendous bloodsacrifice, a sacrifice he would force from every living person in Belgrade, Serbia's Capital City.
At this same, Deputy Director Piper Hale received word from her top field team at S.H.I.E.L.D. they had finally uncovered the evidence that Bor had falsified his evidence to justify his invasion of Serbia.
Now the Justice League of America, The Young Titans and S.H.I.E.L.D. have raced to Belgrade to save the lives of over a million innocent people and perhaps untold million if Alti succeeds in his plot! But it shall not be easy, Bor has assembled his forces to stop the Heroes from ruining his Uncles plans!
***** This thread shall feature Heroes Iron Woman Venom Kar-El Kronus Hjoris

The so called "Heroes" had finally uncovered what was going on. Not surprising, things had been going so well. It was only a matter of time before something went wrong. But as was ever the case Doom was ready. As the heroes arrived, Bor gave word for his military forces still present in Belgrade (they kept the peace) to attack. Powerful tanks and Anti-Air platforms unleashed their payload. But he wasn't expecting that to do very much, meta-humans had long ago proved their ability to handle traditional shows of force. But still.
He made no effort to hide himself, in fact he attracted their attention as his platform hovered over the main road of the city. His arms were crossed at his chest until he spotted the first hero. His fingers flexed and he whispered out an ancient gypsy incantation. His arms sprang out from his chest with open hands pointed towards those self-righteous heroes. Purple energy crackled out like lightning, aiming to give those meddling heroes a taste of eldritch pain!

Pulling out his multi gun and turned it into a sniper rifle, Venom grinned under his mask. “I've been looking forward to this.” He was actually quouting and acting like his father right now. His father had said and done this exact thing when trying to stop Carnages rampage in Doverton so many years ago. He had always wanted to say this, and just be like his dad a bit more. Grinning as he leapt off of the building he had been standing on. Landing on a lower building, he spied a soldier about to shoot at a plane up in the air, which still had some avengers in it. Aiming his rifle, he fired one shot. The soldier screamed in pain as the bullet hit it in the soldier.
Leaping down, Nathan turned his gun back into its original form and then onto his back. Smiling, he tensed his legs and leapt into the street. Landing on his feet, he grinned and raised his head. However, Nathan jumped a bit when he saw some purple lightning hit a spot nearly close to him. Deciding he'd need to evade the lightning, he began to run forward, his hands shifting into blades as he ran forward. In case he was attacked, he'd need weapons other than his gun. Unfortunately, he wasn't having much luck recently. His body had rejected full bonding with the symbiote due to his recent seperated. He could only bond to it for fourty eight hours at a time, without his body rejecting it or his mind becoming fully engulfed by Venom's influence. As he kept running, he said “This hasn't been my last few weeks.”

HQ of Lock's forces. [/url], The Keys personal androids each roamed around on high alert as holographic screen projected constantly switching from flight trajectories on incoming drop ships of The Keys human henchmen and his own patrol fighter craft to defend the air. Though oddly enough Lock himself was nowhere to be found inside the Cathedral. Meanwhile In the city, a wave of armored human henchmen flooded the cities streets firing on all they could. Led by Door Guardian androids, massive in size tossing cars at buildings and slicing things in half with their energy swords and shoulder mounted Gatling laser blasters finding to mow targets down. True to the imagination it was a war zone as building burned. "The opposition has acted. We have contact!" A key-man relayed the message into his helmets commutations system. One of his key maker androids imminently seeking commands from The Key. Reaching out with his mind, Key communicated back with telepathy since his androids brains were bio-mechanically organic enhanced enough be psionically controlled. Not wanting to technologically give his temporary hidden location away. ~"Continue the assault. This was not unexpected. Raise defenses shoot all on sight."~ A shimmering red energy dome erected around the Cathedral. [/ul] (Currently at the moment for sake of waiting for others to be intro'ed into the thread, lock will be hidden away. So I will be NPC attacking people with henchmen. For current information about henchmen see Locks app here)

Hjordis landed with something of an entrance as she witnessed the carnage beginning to unfold around her. She saw various henchmen swarming about. She witnessed pure chaos unfold. She knew nothing about her fellow heroes, only that they were indeed powerful and they knew how to fight. And Octavius had assured her that they were more than capable on many occasions. That was enough for the warrior Asgardian. She had been in wars before and this looked to be one for that tales to come.
Her eyes fell to the individual projecting the lightning. A small man, but one that looked to hold much power. She remembered from the briefings that this was the apparent wrangler. The brains of the operation. She could see from his sure cocky smile that he knew he was in control. He seemed arrogant and sure of his victory. She would love nothing more than to wipe that smug grin from his small face. He would have to wait however, there were other more urgent people, and things, about.
Cracking her neck slightly she un-sheathed Dragonsfang and Fimbuldraugar. Her heavy Asgardian armor clinked as she ran for her first victim. Within moments she was upon one of the robot henchmen. Her blades created a dance worthy of watching as she spun and aimed to kill. Thrusting and stabbing with ease, she turned her hungry eye to another android. Giving a fierce Asgardian war cry she barreled towards her next target, ready to take down the enemy with no fear. Her battle lust was rising and she didn't want to resist it.

Iron Man was the third of the heros to land. Vincent hadn't intended to come in as hot as she had, but it made for a great effect to land in a crouch shattering the concrete around her, sending a shock way knocking multiple henchmen off their feet. The iron giant stood and charged a repulsar blast, sending more henchmen flying.
She caught sight of the Asgardian maiden Hjordis as she took off in her dance of blades. The girl worried Vincent some where in the back of her mind, while she was an excellent fighter it was something about how friendly she was with Octavius that made Vincent nervous- and she had no idea why it should.
Shaking that thought from her mind Vincent continued into the battle, taking down henchmen and scanning the area for a strong defensive position.

Carl had already been in Serbia working as a press photographer when things had become heated and now he found himself stuck in the capitol city with all hell breaking loose around him. He'd been there for almost a day now watching what little resistance was left in the Serbian city slowly getting pounded out of the defenders by the more advanced and numerous Latverian military. He'd helped where he could, flitting in and out to assist civilians but avoiding any real confrontation, he didn't know whether the invasion was justified or not so he had limited his actions. But now with the arrival of the JLA, S.H.I.E.L.D. and numerous other heroes he came to the conclusion that something was amiss and the Von Doom's would be made to account for whatever crimes they had commited.
In the distance, high above the city he could see a lone man, his hair fluttering in the breeze and some weapon shimmering in his hand but of more concern to him was the man below, floating above the city on some sort of platform suspended by technology. He'd watched from a crumbling doorway as first some kind of spiderlike creature leapt from building to building, rushing towards robotic soldiers, blades extending from its hands. 'It' was followed closely by others, a towering woman in viking garb who seemed to dance with her blades through opponents no matter where they chose to attack from. The last he recognised, and doubted anyone on the planet would fail to know. Iron Woman thundered into the ground, crushing the concrete beneath her power armoured feet and sending a mass of henchmen flying in every direction. A moment later a blast from her palm sent many more scattering.
Eldritch lighting arc'd from the man on the floating platform snaking through the sky and chasing whatever came within reach...
While not exactly heroicly dressed, in his jeans and thick winter jacket, Kar-El non the less strode out from his hiding place as some huge automaton blasted a nearby building to rubble. He blocked the screams of the dying from his mind as best he could focusing his attention on the massive machine in front of him, waving his arms to get its attention, anything to pull it away from the rest of the buildings...

The Justice League of Avengers were coming out now. Revealing themselves to the masses to save the day. Bor Von Doom would have none of it. They'd ruin everything. The first one to focus on was the Iron Man or Iron Woman. Whatever Vincent Stark wanted to call herself. Bor's hands came up, armoured palms facing the JLA-er as she fought her way through Latverian soldiers. A moment later two beams of heat exploded towards Iron (Wo)man.
Bor wasn't a one thing at a time kind of guy however. His armours hyper-acute scanners and sensors were running through everything in the area, a tactical feed scrolling down one side of his view. Asgard had sent another warrior. He wasn't sure who she was yet, but it didn't matter. From his right shoulder a weapon system revealed itself, it was a small missile battery to be precise and it unleashed its payload on the Asgardian woman. Two dozen small tactical missiles screamed towards her as she battled the automated minions of The Key.

Nathan front flipped into the air, as he saw a beam of heat fly towards Iron (Wo)Man and several missiles flying towards this new Asgardian warrior. Landing on his knee and feet, he threw his arms forward, and the blades he had formed earlier were thrown forward. They made contact with two soldiers, piercing right through their armour. These symbiotic weapons were as hard as diamonds, capable of piercing most substances and causing a lot of damage. Grinning under his mask as he stood up, he removed his multi gun from its holder once again.
Shifting it into a high powered automatic, Nathan turned to the soldiers, and his mask sprouted a manic grin. Roaring at the top of his lungs, he fired off several shots at the soldiers, blasting high powered bullets towards them in an effort to cause more damage to them. If he weakened them substantially enough, he might be able to cause some sort of fear into these soldiers. Grinning he thought “Ha! A fear. Fear spreads like a Venom, hence why I should become good at bringing fear into their hearts.” Firing off several more shots, he roared “What you got, EH?!” A small bit of cockiness and symbiotic madness got to him, but he was fine. He wasn't under the symbiotes influence too much, and it was only a small and partial influence, causing him to release his pent up cockiness and frustration in his roars. Unless the symbiote tried to fully take over, he would be fine for another fourty six hours.

Hjordis heard the missiles screeching through the air, but was only able to react to over half of them. Thrusting Fimbuldraugar cleanly into an already hacked droid she dodged another's attack, only to be met in the left shoulder by two of the missiles. Thankfully her strong armour was there to protect most of the damage, but it still hurt enough for her to grind her teeth in pain.
Delivering a heavy kick to the leg of that automaton Hjordis craned her neck to see the source of the damage. It was the Doom boy. Staring at his suit in a somewhat tactical manner, Hjordis quickly dodged another attack and delivered a killing blow to the back of the robot. Turning to another 'bot, her swords were ready as were her reflexes on that Doom boy.

As if the act was in slow motion Vincent felt the beams of heat before they actually released towards her- being Technopathic had it's advantages. The Iron avenger shot into the air, beams of heat following her as she shot into the sky. After a moment the beams stopped- not before coming dangerously close to taking out her repulsar jets on her boots.
Doing another scanning sweep of the area Iron Man noted that Bor VonDoom's attention was now switched towards Hjordis, the newest ally of the JLA, and Vincent's partner in the failed attempt to have Octavius see reason and not come. Vincent landed behind Hjordis back to back and switched the com from the internal channel to one where the Asgardian woman could hear. "The attack's are mostly being controlled from Doom, it's either his suit or his station. Do you have any way to cover me while I take a look?" And by take a look she meant knock the nancy boy off his stage and hold him by his feet until he apologized and surrendered.

"I have no projectiles as your suit does, but I can keep him busy." Hjordis managed to get out as Dragonfang found home in another suit. With a few more bodies falling, Hjordis pushed her way through the crowd and gave a powerful leap closer to the Doom boy.
Landing with another heavy thud she gave a somewhat malicious as she took a few more steps closer to him, her body on edge for what he may throw out at her. "Boy!" she yelled loudly, despite how close he looked to her in age. "Are you ready for a proper fight now?" she asked, her swords at the ready. She knew this was no what Stark had in mind but she hoped that it would help a little in the least.

Post by Bem T'Chui on Mar 28, 2012 22:56:16 GMT 1
The Cat in him let out a muffled growl in frustration. He had been traversing the grounds for what felt like hours and was coming up with nothing substantial. The younger Von Dooms would prove a greater threat together than their brother would be alone, so he had opted for that mode of attack, yet he did not think he would be as difficult to find as he was. This Lock character he kept hearing of, was unlike anyone he had encountered. It would seem as though the villain had thought of everything, had planned for everything. Yet something within doubted heavily that Lock had thought of him.
Surely there is someone still in here... Bem thought. He tapped on a hidden button to open up a miniature holomap utilizing GPS. The great minds in Wakanda had still been at work, in silence and heavy guard, making use of the reports that the nation had been eliminated by the struggles between that of his father and the patriarch of the Von Dooms. Judging by the schematics he had gathered along the way, through infiltration and hacking of the computers, it showed that he should be-- before he could finish the thought several armored henchmen ran in from a nearby door. Quickly he lunged towards the thick shadows offered by a nearby column allowing the deep color of his fur to blend in rendering him nearly invisible.
Bem shook his head in frustration again... this hiding amongst the shadows was getting him nowhere but closer to insanity. As the small cluster of guards passed he pounced upon the nearest one, barring his teeth at the others, and finally let out a deep, blood curling roar. BORRRR!!!!

Bor took slow steps towards the Asgardian woman, she avoided the majority of his missiles but he and his suit had watched that very carefully, now both he and his suit had an idea of how quickly she moved. His tracking and aiming programs re-calibrated and locked on to take it into account.
She came at him then, swords at the ready to do combat with Doom himself. Soon to be Lord Doom after Doctor Doom did everyone a favour and died but that was neither here nor there. Bor had a different fight on his hand. "Impudent wench, one Asgardian is dying today. Doom has no qualms in killing another." without any further warning Bor's left arm shot up while a pair of barrel's revealed themselves and unfolded. No sooner was his arm pointed at her that the barrel's unleashed a torrent of fire. She was close, had no cover and flamethrowers could blanket an area. It was the most tactically sound approach.
Not to mention, the promethium/napalm compound was very sticky and very corrosive....not to mention firey. It was obviously very firey.

Nathan was beginning to feel the old cockiness and battle mentality take over. He had been raised by a former corporal in the united states military, and the symbiote endowed him with knowledge from its previous hosts. But, these thoughts were destroyed when one of the soldiers fired a rocket at him, and he wasn't able to dodge it. Being thrown back, he screamed in pain as it felt like his legs had been blasted off. And that stirred a hidden memory in him....No, not him.....The memory was from the symbiote. “MY LEGS!” His symbiote masks eyes turned red, and as his legs grew back due to the symbiote, he stood up. In reality, his legs hadn't been blown off, and if he had not been bonded they would have. But, they would still be there when he was de-bonded.
“I'VE HAD ENOUGH!” And with that, Nathan grew from a slim, military styled Venom into a hulking, berserk Venom. Roaring, he leapt forward and grabbed several soldiers, crushing them without effort. It wasn't that the symbiote had taken over. It hadn't, but Nathan was frightened. The symbiote's memories of Flash suffering what he thought would be his legs being blown off for the second time is what had caused Nathan to go into this rage. It had overpowered him. Gripping a tank, he hurled it at another, and this caused an explosion. Roaring, Nathan let out a sadistic laugh. However, his rational side tried to break through his anger, without much success. The symbiotes mind was still sleeping, but then he began to slowly calm down. While he was still furious, he was gradually losing height, muscle mass and anger.
