Stark Tower/JLA Headquarters, New York. 28th of July, 09:05 Local TimeThe first tour of the public floors of Stark Tower had just started. A bright eyed man that was far too flamboyant was explaining to the gathered crowd what would be happened for the tour and how long it would go on for. Tsade Adam had no interested, he just needed to blend in for a few moments. His mortal eyes gazed a round the great hall, the word "hall" was more appropriate to describe the room for its scale. It was cavernous.
In every direction there was evidence of the Justice League of Avengers arrogance. Trophies and testaments of defeated foes. A giant statue of gold to celebrate the union of Justice League and Avengers into one force. The most powerful force of heroes on the planet. This was their fortress, towering above all that passed it on the street so that they may bask in its glory. Well no more. He would bring it all down.
He wearing a hood, a simple thing. With a slow movement he pulled it down before finding a CCTV camera. His eyes fixed on it and he was sure whomever was watching surveillance could see him if they paid attention. Why would they just yet? He was one man among numerous others.
He could wait no longer. It was time for the untouchable Justice League of Avengers to be touched, to place a cut upon the face of this supposed Gods among men. "SHAZAM!" A mystic lightning bolt exploded from the sky, obliterating everything in its way to provide Tsade the power he was invoking. The supposed Gods among men could now deal with the true power of a God.

OOC: I'll be playing Vigilant (an old droped JLA memeber) to be a victim of Black Adam. Don't try to save him, he's going to die. Profile: equivocal-provenance.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=cua&action=display&thread=598 “Oh yea the coffee filters, right in this drawer. They are working on rearranging things, so.. Happy to help.” He smiled to the woman as he help her around the conference room. After a few minutes, the hero know as Vigilant left the room and headed down the massive hall, smiling as he saw the gold statue, he was honored to be part of the team. He proud, a slight gloat in the whole affair, ever since he was a child he dreamed of becoming a hero. After hard work for years that dream was a reality. Even if he held no special power or extraordinary skill, his strong leadership and determination was has seen him through. He didn’t go on as many missions as the others, but he played a large role at the Tower, mainly mentoring friend, people and children. He was ready to lend a hand and advice where ever it was needed, he would stand up for the rights of his Country, the human race and those who wanted an honest world and universe to live in. But the day would come when those believes he strongly stood for would bring him to his knees. “Yes ma am, the rest facilities are right down the hall to the left, enjoy your tour. Oh it’s an honor to meet such an awesome fan. High Five! YAH!” He said two the three year old boy who was so thrilled to be here and meting real heroes. Most of the JLA didn’t have time to spend with people but he loved it. He was walking along and then it happened; screams were followed by a bright light and an explosion that sent a gust of wind and a rumbling through the tower. Was it a bomb? Vigilant ran, dropping the papers in his hand and entered the scene. The place was in a complete mess, tables and chairs and glass and tiles were throw across the room like a tornado had just entered and left. People were running and screaming out of the building, all but one man. “Vigilant to tower, we have an intruder down here!” Of course they would figure that out, but he was the first on the scene. He put his hand up towards the intruder; he stood in front of him and planned on standing his ground. “Hold it there fellow, you got some nerve coming in here and blowing up the place. ” He didn’t know what to say really as he stared into the man’s eyes, he didn’t seem to happy. He took up his escrima stick from his back and twirled it. “You better have a good reason for attacking the Tower, you’re up a hundred to one!” He said and looked around, where was everyone?

Tsade's lighting bolt had cut clear through the build and left a hole one could view if they looked up. A clear cut view to the sky. He was floating now, adorned in the black and yellow attire of Black Adam. He scanned the room around him, people were fleeing and there was a small crater beneath his feet from where he had made his transformation and the mystic lightning burned the ground. "This is how their fall shall begin."
His attention was called by a young hero, accusing him of nerve and informing him it was 'a hundred to one.' Tsade Adam did not see it that way. Without warning he exploded towards the man, face twisting into a scowl as he got closer. One hand shot forward and reached to grab the man by the shirt and lifted him into the air as if he was nothing more then a ragdoll. With all the brutality of an angry gorilla the Black Marvel slammed the Justice Leaguer into the floor with bone breaking (and stone floor shattering) force before hoisting him up again only to slam him down again. He did this again and again and again before decided it was sufficient and tossing him aside. "And now it is ninety-nine to one."

The emergency frequency of the Justice League of Avengers kicked in, and Robin Hood heard it in his standard issue ear bud. Black Adam has attacked the tower. Vigilante is dead. Assistance needed. Leaping to his feet, Robin Hood said “Towers being attacked. Black Adam is attacking it. Vigilantes dead. We need to the tower soon. Any heavy hitters, we'll need you.” Rubbing his hands together, the young hero ran from the room.
A portal to teleport Charlie from the helicarrier to the tower had been opened by the Psychics and Mystics division of S.H.I.E.L.D. Diving through the portal, he landed on his hands and flipped onto his feet. Looking at Vigilantes body, he had to hold down his fury. The Dark Passenger within him was calling for him to kill or maim Black Adam. Even though his weapons might be useless, he was sure he did have a chance. If he could at least keep a distance, and hold him off until some of the heavy hitters showed up. Reaching for his utility belt, Charlie realized a flaw in his plan. He hadn't brought his bow with him. Only his throwing discs and other close combat weapons would work. Pulling out two smoke pellets, Charlie hurled them at Black Adam. And then, he flipped backwards, pulling out a gas pellet. If he needed to, he'd hurl it.

Sticky and pumped from her morning workout, Erin had just finished with running fifteen miles and returned to finish up the morning. She had just gotten out of the cool shower and turned the radio in the surround system in her apartment as she toweled off and walked to her bedroom and stated to get dressed. She had on her black support bra and a pair of gray boxer briefs and combed her hair back. Suddenly the brush went across the room onto the bed as Erin put her hands behind her back and began to sway her hips and the rest of her body began to go in rythum. She flexed her shoulder back and forth.
“One night. One night. One night. Night in. Night in. Night in….. One night in Bangkok. Night in night in na-na-night in night in Ba-a-a-angkok….”Erin sang, and then ran, siding across the floor and flipped up onto the ceiling and did a break dance upside down. Not even spiderman could bust this move. She webbed her spray on deodorant and continued.
“One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster The bars are temples but the pearls ain't free You'll find a god in every golden cloister And if you're lucky then the god's a she…” She was making a fun routine for herself this morning until there was an explosion and bright flash which blew her off the wall and into the corner. It happened so fast that it was beyond her senses and she jumped up from behind the dresser that had fallen. Standing up she saw everything in the room was toppled over.
“What the hell was that!” Erin raced out of her bedroom and down the way to the bathroom door and grabbed the handle and pulled back as it burnt her hand. Kicking the door open before her was a giant hole going right through the floor and ceiling and out the roof of the tower. The edged of the hole still glowing red and smoked, it was if a meteor had just stuck the tower. The bathroom closet, sink and toilet were just obliterated and the tub was on its side with a crack down it. The music still played as Erin was wide eyed and her mouth was open. She was eight stories up and she climbed the wall to peer down the massive hole. Down the hole she could see some standing under it.
“Oh shit, don’t tell me we are under attack. Did that guy just blow a hole through the god dam tower!?” Erin muttered backing up as she had seen the person move away from the hole. This was serous and she needed to get ready. Leaping into her costume and armory closet, Erin grabbed a syringe of something and dug it into a vein in her arm. She would need to get full core Arachnia today with people blasting massive holes in the tower. Erin hunched over and screamed slightly, twisting and turning as the transformation took place, turning her skin black and hard and giving her spider limbs out the sides of her back.
She flexed her body around as it was some what bigger and she could feel the hormones racing. She looked toward the bathroom and walked over. She heard a loud thumping noises, over and over and looked down the hole. The man was right under hole again and she saw him. The villain was holding a team mate and had just thrown him. Erin’s eyes were wide as she had just witnessed a murder and she was thrown into rage. Taking hold of the tub she let it go right over his head, not even saying a word as it fell towards its target several stories down. The music was still playing in the back ground. When she heard and impact she turned walking out to suit up.
“Hope you like the complementary oatmeal goat milk soap, jerk.”

A swirling vortex of magic opened and a young hero sprung out, Tsade watched through uncaring eyes as this new arrival threw a pair of pellets that exploded and formed a smoke screen. Tsade continued floated on the spot for a moment before exploding towards him, fists pointing forward as he aimed to ram the hero at the chest. "Fool, I can hear your heart beating in your chest, mere smoke shall not assist you."
A fraction of a second later the tub came crashing down and struck the center of the room, in the middle of the crater formed where Tsade had made his transformation. Those same ears that had picked up the male hero he had just rammed at zero'd in on the sound of another individual, one whom was in significantly less panic then many others in the building. He could have left where he was and flown upwards to find the one that had tried to drop a bathtub on him but he had a better idea. The new Black Adam brought both hands up and pointed towards the back of the building before slamming both hands together with terrifying force. The thunder clap as it was sometimes known sent out a wave of pure force and devastated everything before it, obliterating most of the bottom floor and the street beyond.
The JLA Tower was about to crumble under its own weight.

Ayame was in her room, after a training work out, still in her 'hero uniform', when the first lightening bolt hit. The loud noise made her cover her overly sensitive ears for a second, before she was hyper alert. If she was a rabbit or dog, her ears would have perked and she would have tilted her head to the side. As it was, she instantly grabbed her weapons - tanto, ball and chain, kunai, shurikan and senbon, the latter three in pouches on her obi-style thighs, the other two attached to her obi style sash. The thunder continued, now accompanied by intense shaking of the entire tower. She sped down to the lobby, where the noise and epicentre of the shaking was, just in time to see a...bathtub(?!) fall threw a hole in the ceiling on a extremely built male, doing no damage sadly. "Please stop." Her voice wasn't like it usually was. Normally, it was quiet, shaking and worried. Now it was a lot stronger, and louder. She could smell the blood all around her. Innocent people.... Her fists clenched tightly, neon purple energy flickering in balls around them, as one hovered over the hilt of her tanto. "Leave. Now. You are most unwelcome!" Her fingers gripped the tanto hilt now, holding so hard her knuckles were white, the comforting - to her at least - grind of metal echoing in her ears as it was removed from its sheath, held up protectively over her chest, her free hand hovering over her kunai hilts. Post by Evangeline Walker on Aug 7, 2012 15:28:55 GMT 1
What was that?
The young sorceress’ head lifted slowly from the table and hung for a few moments while she recovered. Dozing off during her studies again? With all of the stuff that was going on in the real, school world and all of the things that were happening in the superhero world, Evangeline was surprised that she had been able to manage the schedules and times and work that accompanied each one without having a complete break down. Rubbing her face a couple times and blinking her eyes so that she could adjust to the bright lights overhead, the nymph yawned a few times and cupped a hand over her mouth. Apparently, something had just happened. Something big. Something that was on the scale of maybe the Spectre working up some vengeful magics or a Lord of Chaos causing minor mischief somewhere on the globe. Okay, maybe not something that big, but pretty impressive.
Sliding the open book in front of her forward and placing her hands firmly onto the tabletop, Evangeline provided extra support as her legs forced her out of the chair and stretched. If this was as big as it seemed or felt like, she was going to need to be awake for whatever had caused such a large spike in magical energy. Stretching for a few more moments, nothing too long and just enough to really get her mind awake and get her concentration rolling, the nymph let her arms rest back by her sides and closed her eyes. She needed to focus. She needed to hone in on the spike of magical energy she had felt and the reminiscent energies from it. She had to make sure that she pinpointed the proper event and place. But with all of the studying that she had been doing,—yes, it was actually serious focus and attention to the books this time around—Evangeline was bound to get it on the first try.
After getting the visual that she desired and making sure to remember it vividly for the purposes of making her position accurate and precise, the sorceress opened her eyes and let them wander to the towering bookshelf to her left. It may have been one of three in the entire room, but the number of shelves that it fit was exceptional since it reached to the ceiling and not just the average bookshelf level, whatever that was. Though it wasn’t particularly clear as to what kind of magics had caused the spike in magical energies in the New York City area, Evangeline was almost sure that something or someone who was able to generate such power had a fifty percent chance of being a malicious figure and, with the luck and reputation and statistics she had supporting her past encounters, Evangeline was pretty much counting on this phenomenon’s origin being evil.
A book entitled Containment and Control: Magicks No. 1 floated down from a shelf just out of Evangeline’s reach and fell onto the nymph’s forearms and hands with a light thud. She pulled it to her chest and closed her eyes once more. A specific part of Downtown had formed in her mind and allowed her to focus solely on where she wished to go. With the book in tow, of course. Basically, if this thing or person ended up being too much for her to handle, this particular text would end up helping her restrain the opposing force. That is until someone with more experience was able to take care of the issues that the nymph was unable to handle on her own. But, like many other heroes who had or could end up in her very situation, Evangeline was hoping that she wouldn’t need anyone else’s expertise.
With a simple twitch of her eyebrow and the slight wrinkling of her nose, the teenage sorceress disappeared from the comfort of Professor Doctor Nommo’s occult study. Her location? A street about two blocks away from the JLA Tower. It didn’t take much for her to feel the snuffing of the magical energies, which left her with the smell of residual magic. Actually, it was the smell of lightning. Magical lightning was normally specific to the Marvels, but they wouldn't be attacking the Tower unless one of the JLA members had wronged the wizard Shazam. Evangeline ejected the idea of the Marvels from her head before running through a list of possible candidates. For all of the studying she had done, there hadn't even been one magic user profile. Without that knowledge, there was going to be a bit of a preparation issue.
Regardless of the people she'd come into contact with and whether she'd be able to handle them immediately, Evangeline took off for the Tower in order to help fix the damage done. The further that she went, or the closer she got to the Tower, the streets started to look more like a forced landing site. The asphalt as broken up. There were cars upturned on either side. People were sprawled out everywhere. Perhaps the magic had caused a lot more damage than the villain had intended? Because the affected area was further than the evacuation crews had initially taken care of. Naturally, some were probably already being redeployed to help out those caught in this second "shock", but it was still horrible. You know, to see something close to her being used so irresponsibly.
Finally reaching ground zero and looking up at the crumbling JLA Tower, the nymph sighed. The supports on the building didn't appear to be able to do their job anymore; holding the building up. If the Tower went down, just based on the tragedies with collapsed buildings in the past, could cause a cloud of dust to form for miles in radius. It would shut down even more of the streets and subway that it already had. And, arguably the most important, human life was going to be even more at a risk than before. If the Tower collapsed, the JLA would probably be under even more fire for allowing such a thing to happen. And since the Octavius thing really still hadn't blown over completely, Congress would be out for blood this time around.
"All right. Focus. Who ever this magic user is, they can't have enough power to disperse high level magic. Hopefully. Question is, who exactly is the aggressor in this case? Raw magical power like that isn't at the disposal of just anyone. ...think. Who does though?"
Continuing her monologue, or soliloquy, as an internal thing, the nymph run up to the base of the Tower and sighed. Her normal force-fields wouldn't be enough to hold up all the weight of a building, which meant some incantations were needed. Unfortunately, Evangeline was still rusty with her command of the Old English language, so the important words and sentence structure would definitely be botched. And with the stakes as high as they were, it wasn't worth taking a gamble. She'd just have to say more, speak backwards, and stay almost completely focused in order to steady the building and make sure that it wasn't going to be threatened with tumbling to the ground. At least, not for the rest of the attack going on.
"Okay. Evig eht ALJ rewoT hguone troppus ot dloh eht thgiew gnirab nwod. Peek ti ydaets, detcetorp dna gnorts tsniaga eht cigam taht tsrif kcurts ti."
First came an inhale, then an exhale. The young sorceress nodded in order to give herself a little more assurance and started to let the words flow from her mouth. Though they, indeed backward, it didn't sound as odd to Evangeline as it might to others. To be honest, she had had been over using the familiar Homo Magi tactic and, hence, began lacking in her other areas of verbal, magical incantation and invocation and so on. In order to add a little more "oomph" to the magical outcome, she waved her arms around in a simple motion.

Cracking his neck, Charlie knew that against Black Adam, he was an insignificant bug. This guy was a powerhouse, a very heavy hitter, and on par with Superman, if not more powerful than him. In comparison to Black Adam, Robin Hood was only slightly superhuman. He wouldn't be able to compete for long with this guy. Even if he had trick arrows and his bow, he wouldn't be able to compete for long. Black Adam was hurling himself towards the young hero. Panic was beginning to send in, and he performed a back flip to get away. When a bathtub hit the man.
A bathtub! A airborne bathtub had just saved his life. Looking up, Robin Hood saw that it was Arachnia who had thrown the bathtub at Black Adam. Exhaling with relief, he pulled out several Red Robin throwing discs. Ayame Mikatoshi, and a girl that was a member of the Young Titans were both here now. Hurling his throwing discs at Black Adam, he was grateful that two of them were explosive ones, and one was electrified. This might not cause much damage, but they would cause a bit. Cracking his knuckles, he extracted his Bo-Staff, and twirled it several times. His father and several others were more skilled in the art of Stick Fighting and Bojitsu, but he was still a skilled fighter with it. He'd need to use all of his skills to even stand a chance against Black Adam without getting killed, or even stand a chance of survival.

Moving quickly Erin had her uniform and weapons on in less than sixty seconds and it was just about that time when Black Adam clapped his hands sending a shockwave through the first floor of the tower; everything and everyone in the way was probably forced out the windows or the back of the tower. Her senses shot off and the force sent her back, even being many floors it rocked the place, she shot a web to the ceiling to hand on. Arachnia was set for combat and kicked out a window in the apartment, she would attack from the outside in. But the report came over the ear piece and she started to realize this was major; the pillars holding up the tower and most of the walls on the first floor were gone or damaged.
The building would collapse within minutes without support. If it took any more damage the second floor would be the new first floor and most likely the whole tower would fall over. Knowing what she had to do, Arachnia would have to save the building rather than join the fight, if it collapsed everyone trying to defend him would be flattened and soon every able body would need to be fighting him. Arachnia took a dive off the tower and swung in and through a window, stringing strong thick webbing strands across the ceiling and then out the other side of the building shooting up and anchoring the strands across the other buildings next to the tower. They would be the hands that help up the falling building until someone could help.
Arachnia would have to do this back and forth over the whole building where the supports were gone. Naturally spider silk is stronger than steel and she was thousands of times bigger than a spider, her silk could possible hold the tower if there was enough of it. Spider-man was able to secure collapsing buildings with his silk for some time and her powers were nearly double in many areas. It would take all the material her spinneret organs could muster, all the protein in her body would need to be put to use. Her power would be put to the ultimate test today. She was weaving the biggest tapestry she had ever strung.
Starting in the middle and the back, the black spider woman would try to keep away from Black Adam and move swiftly, hopefully not drawing his attention. She swung in, through and out of the building, strapping her webbing were the walls and supports once were. The outside of the building would start to look like a giant net holding the tower up. She worked fast, making sure to spread out the anchors throughout the buildings around it. It was working but only time would tell if Black Adam would bring the tower down or just blow all her hard work away. She would be worn from using so much protein from her body and all of it could be in vein, but she pressed on, she would use all the protein in her body if she had too, she would not let the tower fall on her family.
Suddenly she noticed that a magic force was now coming to aid and was holding up the supports of the tower. She was glad that finally holding up the tower was no longer in her hands, it would have never held long enough. Arachnia gave a sigh and dropped down to the floor, her wrists hurt from expelling so much webbing but she wasn’t going to just sit and there while it collapsed. She would have let it crush her before giving up. Now she needed to help her teammates in fighting Black Adam, so she jumped up and leaped across the ceiling heading towards the battle.
