This is a list of the various affiliations that we currently allow on Equivocal Provenance, this includes what groups have merged together and what they are now called.
We shall allow members to form new groups, or re-organize groups not currently on our list once our starting groups have been filled up. It may also happen that a group proves to be very unpopular, in which case it may be removed and a new group, chosen by the site as a whole through a poll, can replace it.
Our groups as it stands:
Hero Groups
The Justice League of America and The Avengers have merged to become:
The Justice League of Avengers
The Teen Titans and The Young Avengers have merged to become:
The Young Titans
While they did not merge, S.H.I.E.L.D. uncovered illegal and hate inspired plans and actions by CHECKMATE, before promptly forcing its end. Thus S.H.I.E.L.D. is the U.N.'s top intelligence and anti-super terrorist faction.
The X-men are still the worlds top group for the training & education of the worlds mutant and natural meta-human individuals.

The Injustice League and The Masters of Evil shared information and in time united to become
The Masters of Injustice
When the groups became aware of each other, The League of Assassins and The Hand went to war, The Hand's leaders were assassinated and its remaining members joined
The League of Assassins
We also allow secondary affiliations, these are effectively smaller groups that a character can be a part of, while also being a part of a larger group. "Secondary affiliations" include groups such as The Birds of Prey, X-Force or even special places a person might be from, such as an alien world (Hala) or an exotic place (Themyscira). A Lantern Corp can also be a secondary affiliation. If you wish use any secondary factions, feel free to do so, but please put your primary group in bold, just to be positive and avoid confusion.
Although we currently only have 2 villain groups (Masters of Injustice and League of Assassins, plus of course unaffiliated), we highly encourage members to start their own groups, to the point that any group that has 6 active members, staff will create a member group for your faction.
