This might come out a bit melodramatic but here goes anyways. I have been here around of 6 months or more and I have had one successful thread spawning out through those months. I've been asking people for months to start a thread and those who wish to do never reply or contact me. I'm honestly thinking this place is a waste of my time. But I still have half a mind telling me it will pull through.
Now I was given some future plot reference for my characters but for the meantime, if I could get some more thread time that would be great. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, if it's my age or if my characters just come off as an irritation or maybe everyone one is just busy. Either way I wanted to address this concern before I made up my mind to leave.
Now, if i might try this again, who wants to roleplay?

Hey Dan, I for one applaud you coming out and saying what you needed to say. Getting it off your chest always helps. While I have made a list of future plots with you on a char I'm working on getting approved, I can only shed light I why I didn't RP with you in the past... being our characters had no context. You play specific DC-themed villains, which at often times locks you to a particular category of posting. Also given the sparse amount of villains aboard this site, it can be often hard to find common ground to post with. In my time on site, I've learnt a few things, which I'll gladly share with you. One: Spread out your genre. This isn't me making you forcefully take up new characters or do away with your old ones, but more so give you scope as to how to improve your RP here. I started with Farsight on this site as he was one of my favorite OCs from nearly 4-5 years ago. Placing him in S.H.I.E.L.D. was a candid choice as it's where he's most suited. However, I found posting to me slow, so I started Gideon, an X-Men Member, till only recently have I started properly posting as him. Sorin, for me, was my breaking in character on this site, as he gave me scope into a variety of events, as well as gratefully being asked to be a triplet, it gave me the safety net of siblings to fall back on to post. Thanks Bor and Serina~!Since then, I've had Kronus approved (but have yet to do a thread with him), and I've adopted Richard Grayson, as well as app'd Rojek. The point I'm getting to in my normal roundabout way is if you look at my demographics, I have it quite well sussed. Let me show you: - Farsight --> S.H.I.E.L.D. --> Genius-Level/Intellect/Technopath
- Gideon --> X-Men --> Pheromone Manipulation/Empath/Telepath
- Sorin --> Masters of Injustice/Unaffiliated --> Sorcerer/Asgardian
- Kronus --> JLA --> Super-Strength
- Richard Grayson Jr. --> Young Titans --> Skill-based Hero
- Rojek --> Unaffiliated --> Skill-based Villain
Note: Green = Goodie; Red=Baddie
I hope from this you can see what I'm getting at. I have characters spread across nearly every faction, with nearly any location desirable for me to post in. My characters also have varying powers, allowing me not to get tied down to one thing in particular. It allows for multiple character developments along different streams, as opposed to everything happening in say, Gotham. I know if/when I get Rojek approved that we'll be posting plenty, friend, but maybe I can do something with Kronus now with you? Been meaning to break him in at some point; better late than never eh~? Get back to me with your opinion on my response and if you wanna thread with me as Kronus. Awaiting your response, Dan.
